COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGG:
The department of Computer Science & Engineering offers a 4-yr B-Tech program, with an intake of 60 students. This department is reputed for providing the best quality software engineers who serve leading firms and M.N.C’s not only in India but also abroad. The department has continuous interaction with the industry in order to identify projects for students to work on and for their training so as to expose them to the industry. The department is committed to provide opportunities for professional growth & increasing experience through seminars, presentation & workshops.
ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS ENGG:
Electrical & Electronics is a vibrant department that has changed the world in which we live and work. At the beginning of the new century, the discipline is poised to continue making important contributions to key issues facing society in areas such as energy, health, computing, Networked communications, environment monitoring and information security.
Mechanical Engineering activities at Allenhouse Institute of Technology commenced as soon as the college came into being in 2009. The establishment of the State of the Art workshop was the first major step towards imparting best practical training to the budding mechanical engineers. Mechanical Engineering consists of an Internal Combustion Engineering Lab which is equipped with latest SI and CI test rigs along with two stages reciprocating air compressor for experimental as well as for project use. The Mechanical Engineering section of Heat and Mass Transfer, Refrigeration and Air conditioning Lab are equipped with latest experimental setups. Material Testing and measurement Labs have latest equipments to carry out final year project works. Mechanics Lab is equipped with certain experimental setups, which is helping first year students to gain physical insight, i.e. the type of physics involved in real world problems. The classrooms, laboratories and offices of the department are the assets of the college.
ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATIONS:
Allenhouse Institute of Technology offers a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communication with in take of 60 students. It is an engineering discipline where non-linear and active electrical components such as electron tubes, and semiconductor devices, especially transistors, diodes and integrated circuits, are utilized to design electronic circuits, devices and systems, Electronics engineering deals with implementation of applications, principles and algorithms developed within many related fields, for example solid-state physics, radio engineering, telecommunications, control systems, signal processing, systems engineering, computer engineering, instrumentation engineering, electric power control, robotics, and many others. The students learn about subjects like digital electronics and logic design, fundamentals of communication engineering, electronic circuits, signals and systems, power electronics, applied electromagnetic theory, integrated circuits, VLSI, control systems and computer architecture.
Allenhouse Institute of Technology offers a full time bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. The Department has state of art laboratories ranging from building material lab, surveying lab, structure lab, geo-technical lab, transportation lab, fluid mechanics lab equipped with best in class laboratory instruments which includes geo-work station capable of doing surveying activity up to a range of five kilometers, hydraulic turbines ranging from Pelton wheel, Kaplan and Francis turbine and many more. A strong foundation is laid through courses on concrete and steel structures, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, transportation engineering with irrigation engineering with Computer Application. Students are offered a variety of electives like Advance Engineering, Properties of Soil and Rock Mechanics, Bridge Engineering, Non Linear Analysis of Structures. The theoretical courses are supplemented by imparting practical experiences through well-equipped laboratories. The Department of Civil Engineering with its multifaceted faculty continues to maintain and cultivate its strong links with the industry, academic and research institutions in India.
The department executes basic and applied research which helps the students in understanding the concepts through practical implementation thereby preparing the students for success in their careers. The faculty contributes its services to institutions in order to keep themselves abreast with the technology.
Allenhouse Institute of Technology collaborated with the nationalized bank, Bank of Baroda, Patel Nagar, Ramadevi Chauraha, Kanpur. The bank also provides educational loan for the college students, if desired.
Campus has a full-fledged cafeteria within the campus that enables all students to have meals, snacks, soft drinks and hot beverages. There is a grocery within the premises and vending machines for snacks & hot/cold beverages are provided across the campus at various locations.
The campus have their own civic facilities like water supply, sewerage and electrification with provision of high-powered soundless generators to ensure uninterrupted power supply in each of the buildings. An intercom system connects offices and hostels in the campus to facilitate free flow of communication.
Airy and spacious lecture halls give aspiring engineers a focused dome to develop their personalities. The Well furnished and fully equipped lecture halls are specifically segregated for tutorials and lectures. Digital classrooms enable the faculty members to have interactive sessions of teaching, which adds to confidence and enthusiasm among our students.
Separate Hostel facilities are provided for both boys and girls. The accommodation is suitably equipped to provide a safe and secure living environment. Each Hostel is provided with a resident warden and other essential staff.
Students will be allotted double or triple room accommodation in the on-campus hostels on first-come-first-served basis, based upon the date of receipt of hostel fee by cash/ cheque/ DD. Students are accommodated on sharing basis.
Room allotment will be made on an established procedure and the institute’s decision for allotment of rooms shall be final. Both the hostels have Wi-Fi facilities.
Besides the regular hostel facilities, there are affordable food outlets/canteens on campus that provides hygienic food at lunch and dinner times.
There are large playgrounds adjacent to the hostels and hence the students residing in the hostels get ample space for recreational activities.
The campus fulfils the technical needs of students as required by current Information Technology’s demand.
There are 3 servers of which one is HP Proliant ML 110 G6 server and two are of HP Proliant ML 150 catering to the needs of the Campus at present. These are provided in the server room in the Ground Floor of the Main Block. The entire building is networked through CAT6 cabling. All the floors in the Main Block, Library, the Mechanical Block and all the Hostel Blocks are connected through Fiber Optic cable to the Main Academic block. In all, there are 331 computers of various configurations in the campus at different locations, all linked in the network.
Allenhouse Institute of Technology has established an advanced research laboratory for Physics, chemistry and communication. All the labs in mechanical, electrical, electronics and civil engineering are well established.
The workshop at our institute provides students with the opportunity to get hands-on training in basic manufacturing processes. Machines like lathe, shaper, grinding, milling, drilling and facilities for welding, fitting, carpentry, foundry-work, smithy-work; sheet metal-work, metrology and electroplating are provided. Each section is headed by qualified technical instructors.
The library at campus has more than four thousand books each and additions are made every term as new courses are offered to students.
The library contributes and supports in building an internationally top-ranked academic and research driven institution by establishing a knowledge hub. The collections comprise print and electronic resources which include journals, books, CDs, audio cassettes and project reports in the fields of Science and Technology. The library is equipped with adequate staff to give necessary guidance and assistance to the students.
Transport facilities are available for faculties, staff and students commuting from nearby areas and from town to the campus. The transportation fee has to be paid for the entire semester at the time of registering for each semester.
