Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management
The Principal, Dr. H. Udaya Prasanna, was felicitated for his long career here at AITM on 26th August 2015. The event started by Prof. Zeeshan Abdullah reciting versus from the holy Quran. MBA students from the current batch escorted the guests to the dais.
Dr. Anatmurty Shastry, Professor of Mechanical Engineering gave away the welcome address. Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Bhavikatti, Vice Principal, enlightened the gathering with the persona of Dr. H. Udaya Prasanna.
It was followed by an open session for the faculty, staff, and students of AITM to share their views. Faculty members Prof. Ibrahim Karikal, Dr. Padmayya Naik and Prof. Phalachandra H.M spoke about how they were influenced both professionaly and personally by Dr. Prasanna.
Jb. Muhammad Ansar Kashimji, General Secretary of AHM and the Patron and Former President of AHM, Jb. S.M Syed Khaleelurrahman also addressed the gathering. During his speech, Jb. Khaleelurrahman said that “At Anjuman we donot believe in transactions, we believe in relationships.”
Enlightening the joy of felicitation Jb. Muhammad Ansar Kashimji started the ceremonial present with a shawl and bouquet to Dr. Prasanna. Extending the gratitude, Jb. Abdul Rahim Jukaku, President of AHM handed over a token of affection from the AHM’s Institute to Dr. Prasanna.
Proceeding further, Dr. H. Udaya Prasanna, Principal AITM shared his thoughts. The event concluded with Jb. Abdul Rahman Siddiqui, Secretary of the college giving away the vote of thanks.
Resigning Principal, Dr. H. Udaya Prasanna will lead the research activities in the college research center while Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Bhavikatti will take up the Principal’s Office from today, 27th August 2015.

The college has a unique status of a residential institution with an intake capacity in hostel for about 750 students.A student seeking admission to the college should apply for accommodation to the authorities concerned in the prescribed form with the necessary admission fees and deposit. The hostel rules and regulations are fully enunciated separately with hostel application form. Good vegetarian and non-vegetarian mess facilities are also available.
A good library facility with more than 18,000 volumes is available with sufficient number of copies covering all subjects in various branches.Latest titles are being procured as quickly as possible to keep the students and teachers aware of modern developments in various fields of engineering and science, About 100 national and international research journals covering various subjects and disciplines are subscribed for the library. Library is open for 24hrs during Examinations
Student Guidance Bureau:
The Students Guidance Bureau (SGB) of our college was set up in the year 1987 with the intention of helping students in solving their problems of different natures. We at SGB, focus on moulding the students to develop their personality with refined qualities and guiding them to devote themselves for a glorious future as members of a noble profession and citizens of a great nation.
National Service Scheme:
The NSS unit of the Anjuman Engineering College for Men was started in 1999 and is continuing with strength of 100 volunteers. Many activities are regularly organized by the unit. Our volunteers have regularly contributed in maintaining cleanliness of the campus. They also have taken active part in creating environmental awareness in the campus.
Blood donation camps are regularly organized by the unit and our volunteers have sent a message of universal brotherhood by donating blood to the needy. Inspired by them, some of our faculty members have also come forward for donating blood. Inspirational talks by guests speakers during such occasions have helped in motivating our volunteers towards this noble cause.
Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE):
Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) which has its headquarters in New Delhi has its chapters throughout the country, located in various technical institutions. Our institution’s ISTE chapter (IM No. 331) was established in 1992. Twenty eight faculty members were enrolled as members. A students’ chapter was also started in the next year with 95 student members. The present chairman is Prof T.M.P Rajkumar, Professor Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
College provides a separate Cyber Lab facility with highspeed internet connection. Cyber lab is open on all the working days from 9 am to 10 pm and a Campus Wi-fi which can be accessed from the premises of the college or hostel is provided, so that students can access internet from any part of the sprawling 32 acre campus through their Lap tops.
As an essential component of Quality Education, Physical Education contributes towards total personality development of students. It not only brings name and fame to sports men, it also bring recognition to the institution to which they belong.
Recently E-Vidya a project from VTU which provides online tutorials and learning materials for more than 20 courses has been established for the benefit of the student community
