FMG is unique and make students’ life enjoyable. The most important FMG advantage is the continuous industry-institute interaction carried out through guest lectures, industrial visits etc.
FMG realizes the importance of language for preparing effective professionals, leaders and entrepreneurs. It therefore believes that these professionals, leaders and entrepreneurs should overcome the language barrier in their respective careers. A language lab designed for this purpose. The sessions at lab help students to sharpen their language skills. Regular classes on personality development by highly experienced trainers help students in developing confidence and business decorum.
Teaching Learning Process
The learning concept that prevails at FMG is student centered. The modules and the teaching pedagogy are well designed keeping in mind, the need, strengths and weaknesses of the students. Such a method helps faculty to impart knowledge and understanding in an effective manner and enables students to emerge as successful professional with clear conceptual and practical knowledge of the area concerned.
Continuous evaluation is an integral part of the teaching learning process. The students are evaluated by various methods: project work, quizzes, written test, seminars, presentations and group discussions. Each faculty member prepares his/her teaching and evaluation schedule at the beginning of the semester and follows the same throughout the semester.
Master of Business Administration:
The M.B.A. course aims at providing inputs to the students relevant to the business, industry and trade so that they can function in different organizations and face the challenges arising there from. The course not only aims at providing knowledge and skills in different areas of management, but also provides inputs necessary for the overall development of the personality of the students. The structure of the Course is designed in a way that students have to study the core courses from different functional areas of management that are made compulsory. Later on, specializations are offered in functional areas where the students can opt for two specializations out of the five offered: Marketing, Finance, IT, HR and International Business and one Open Specialization, Right from the beginning of the course, the focus is on providing relevant inputs through case discussion/ analysis, simulation games, note plays etc. keeping in mind the current business scenario.
Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA):
The objective of the teaching programs and training ate to achieve overall refinement of the student perception, not confined to the skills of the profession alone, but also to create the right kind of intellect as well as emotional cultivation to arrive at a level of composite creativity and thought.
The four year (Eight semester) full time BFA degree Course is divided into Two Parts:
(a) Foundation (Two Semesters)
(b) Specialization (Six Semesters)
Bachelor of Fashion and Apparel Design(BFAD):

The Programme includes elements and principles of design, drawing and sketching, history of costumes, fashion studies, pattern making, garment construction, merchandising, CAD, Surface design, computers and presentation skills.
FMG understands that most of the students are moving away from home for the first time, so special efforts are made to make the transition as smooth as possible by offering comfortable and safe hostels in the vicinity of campus separately for boys and girls.
FMG campus spread in the green meadows of Knowledge Park is fully developed with all amenities. Every part of the campus has been carefully planned to provide world class teaching and learning environment. The academic complex consists of spacious lecture halls, computer labs, conference rooms, Auditorium and library. We also have Design studios, design labs, sewing and weaving labs CAD/ CAM facilities for every student.
FMG has two computer labs. Each lab has the latest and best of machines and infrastructure. Totally 120 computers are installed in both the labs. There is a centralized server which regularly provides access to network resources. The students in the labs get an access to a number of educational sites to explore many areas of knowledge and its application.
The institute offers a number of recreational facilities meant to rejuvenate its students. The students in their free time are engaged in a number of indoor sports and cultural activities. A number of creative ideas are discussed and developed in the well maintained cafeteria.
FMG has a 52 seater bus for students and staff. Students residing in nearby areas are picked up and dropped at home. The bus also takes students for industrial visits and other outdoor learning activities.
FMG has a spacious and enjoyable canteen where students relish food at leisure. The place is well-lit and offers sumptuous food and snacks. It provides a free ambience where the students can nurture their thinking, ideas and creativity.
Students when at FMG are active and energetic. But in case of emergencies the institute provides medical help in its clean and sanitized medical room. In case of serious problems students are taken to the nearby Hospital for treatment.
The library at FMG, is a reflection of its vision, mission and objectives. The library is a repository of modern collection of books on management, fashion design, textile, communication, information technology, critical reviews, and other material resources. It is also an access point to the state of the art technological application and innovative information .
The library is aesthetically designed to stimulate a nice ambiance for reading and thinking.
Every functional unit in the libraryis connected with a net work computer. The library provides facilities like a) OPAC On Line Public Access Catalogue, CD-ROM and online databases to support in research and project work of students, It provides all essential services like reading of documents; inter library loan/resource sharing through DELNET, proactive information service as alert on upcoming academic events, reference service, research service, reprographic service and information service through digital mode. Special efforts are made to ensure the quality of library collection and dissemination. Standard collection development tools such as published reviews, published catalogue and vendors supplied collection are used to ensure the value, excellence and appropriateness of the library collection. All course and new programs undergoing the curriculum process are studied by the librarian to ensure that library has adequate material to support the courses. The effectiveness of library service in meeting the academic needs of the students is assessed through request feedback forms of students.
Placement is an integral part of any B-School as it is the ultimate goal and the desired destination towards fulfilling the goal of a student i.e. a decent placement. The Placement Cell of FMG, the Industry Linkage Cell is active, alert and vibrant. It takes care of industrial visits, guest lectures, Seminars, live projects, Summer Internship and final placement. The placement cell works in close association with the student from the first day of their entry into FMG. Each student is given individual attention in his/her skill, knowledge and personality development. The experts in the Cell help students to sharpen their respective skills of students in resume-writing and oral communications. Students are given tips and training for success at interviews. Placement identifies avenues for employment and other related activities. The training sessions are organized to help students in expressing and demonstrating their managerial and creative talents. The cell also organizes interactive sessions and trains them to think fast, develop flexibility, confidence and positive attitude. FMG aims at achieving placements to all students and create happy alumni who will be the brand ambassadors of the college in future.
