GZS Campus College of Engineering & Technology, MRSST University, Bathinda is the first institute in Punjab established by state government in the year 1989 when the hon’ble Governor of Punjab Sh.S.S.Ray laid the foundation stone on 23rd October, 1989. Initially set up as Government Engineering College, it was converted in to an autonomous institute in the year 1992 and a “Board of Governors” (BOG) was constituted to manage the affairs of the College. This college was made a campus of Punjab Technical University in 2011. Now the campus is a constituent college of newly setup Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University, Bathinda and is recognized by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) & Council of Architecture. The institute provides an excellent academic environment under the able guidance of well-qualified and highly dedicated faculty.
GZS CC MRSSTU, Bathinda has the distinction of being the oldest degree level technical education institute established by Government of Punjab with the operational control of Board of Governors headed by the Hon’ble Minister of Technical Education, Govt. of Punjab. This institution has been engaged in shaping the destiny of budding engineers ever since it came into being in the year 1989. The College has a magnificent infrastructure spread over an area of 162 acres, which has been witnessing continuous developments since last seventeen years. This College is an excellent education centre with state of-the-art laboratories, computer centre, library and workshops. The college is continuously striving hard to achieve excellence in imparting good technical education with the help of its highly qualified and dedicated faculty, which is considered to be the best in the region. The mission of the institute is to create sustained learning environment of acquiring technical knowledge and translating theoretical knowledge into practical applications.

Computer Centre administers and manages entire Campus Wide Networking. The Centre encourages free and open source software like GNU Linux, open office and other software.

Each one of us has witnessed the reiteration of the quote throughout our lives. But heavy course books, long studying hours, numerous assignments, exams have camouflaged the importance of games and sports in a student’s life. Unfortunately this has led to increased rage and aggression in the youth of today. The Institute understands the vital role of sports in the grooming and development of students and thus gives equal importance to academic and sports alike, encouraging them to participate and excel, in whichever sports of game they like. May it be cricket, basketball, football, hockey table tennis, badminton, lawn tennis. Well kept courts, training under professional coaches, funds and necessary psychological support are imparted to the budding sportsperson for the betterment of their performance.Our students also have not disappointed us. They have been winning titles from intercollegiate to interuniversity level making the whole institute stand up with pride and appreciation. Transport department has two 52 seater buses, which are used for transport of students from Bathinda city and these buses are used for educational and industrial tours. College has two staff cars, which are used for Principal, faculty and staff for official work. Department has one ambulance which is used during emergency for shifting of sick students or staff for medical aid. Following officials may be contacted for any type of transport facility
The College has fully equipped OPD. It is six bedded, 24 hours dispensary with qualified medical staff for routine, emergency cases. Medicines are provided free of cost to students.
