Himalayan Institute of Technology and management is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) Lucknow.
The Himalaya, a source of inspiration and challenge to the researchers, intellectuals and adventurers. The lofty mountains with snow-clad peaks and lush green forests fascinate one & all. They are a great sign of India’s geographical strength and cultural heritage par excellence.
We understand the true essence of the Himalayan culture and ethos and in order to preserve and recognize the true cultural ambience of the region we took this initiative to set up a value based educational centre of excellence in the name of the great Himalayan range.
Himalayan Institute of Technology & Management (HITM) envisages to enrich our cult by the inspirational mystical touch of Himalayan ethos coupled with valued based technological and innovation oriented education.
The institute has separate academic and administrative blocks, a huge library, several large state-of-art computer labs, separate hostels for boys and girls and a cafeteria.

Libraries are the backbone of any civilized and culturally enriched society and they form the core of any academic institution. The library at HITM houses varied kinds of books of diversified fields and subjects .international journals and online magazines on most sought after subjects are available for academic and research activities .
The Library has huge collection of literary books such novels, plays , fiction short stories etc. to supplement students with necessary creativity and inculcate an art of innovation in them .The Library has adequate reference books on each of subject prescribed in the syllabus so that students may have rich study material for their respective examinations .
A library is a collection of sources, resources, and services, and the structure in which it is housed; it is organized for use and maintained by a public body, an institution, or a private individual. In the more traditional sense, a library is a collection of books . It can mean the collection, the building or room that houses such a collection, or both. The term “library” has itself acquired a secondary meaning: “a collection of useful material for common use.” This sense is used in fields such as computer science, mathematics , statistics ,electronics and biology . It can also be used by publishers in naming series of related books, e.g. The Library of Anglo-Catholic Theology. Libraries often provide a place of silence for studying.
The computers are the most talked about term of the millennium and numerous applications of computers make our life unbelievably comfortable . The computer centre at HITM is a advanced networking hub with all kinds of latest technological software which enables the students to sharpen their information technology & computer engineering skills.
The immense impact of technology transfer is truly understood by the faculty and management of HITM , hence we aim to provide an world class facilitation centre where students are encouraged to pursue their respective research interests.
The lecture theaters are the epicenter of learning in any college or institute, we have paid special attention on our lecture theaters as they play an instrumental in the process of learning.
The lecture theaters are well designed , air conditioned , LCD projector supporting and ecologically built to suit the modern requirement s of professional education .
The teacher uses a variety of teaching methods to cater to each learning style in the classroom. The methods vary from rhythmic or musical, as the students learn their multiplication facts by using rap, to an lingustic approach where the students are asked to memorize concepts in science. The lessons taught in the classroom are based off of the Standards of Learning in Lucknow for the Third grade, however they are taught in a variety of ways.
Conference Hall :
The transport facility is available for the students and the staff of the college.Separate Hostel facility is available for girls and boys . The Hostel Complex has all the modern facilities such as internet centre , sports centre , gymnasium and common rooms for studying in an peaceful atmosphere .
The Institute has a fully fledged training & placement cell which works in close coordination with the Academic Industry interface cell to provide ample career opportunities to students. The T&P cell carries out mock drill, mock interviews and various personality enhancing and interview facing programs from time to time.
The institute has separate hostels for boys and girls. All the rooms have 24-hours internet connectivity through the latest Wi-Fi Technology.
HITM offers a wide variety of Co-Curricular Activities that help students imbibe valuable lessons in social development and responsibilities.
Every student is encouraged to participate in debates, elocution, quiz competitions, dance, drama, music and outdoor activities and students enjoy their participation in such events.
The hostel is well guarded by Institute’s own security. The seats are on first-come-first-served basis. The mess is run on co-operative basis by the mess committee of resident students and adheres to strict hygiene standards.
The admissions in the first year of the degree courses are done through SEE ( State Entrance Examination ) conducted by UPTU.
Admission through Management Quota.
Direct Admission ( Lateral Entry ) to second year ( for Diploma Holders & B.Sc. Graduates ).
Seats Under Different Quota In Fisrt Year
Number of admissions in all the courses offered at Govt. / Govt. aided Institutions affiliated to UPTU will be 100 % through SEE- UPTU after deducting seats under NRI quota of 5%
State Government has permitted 15 % of total sanctioned seats available in Private Institutions to be filled by the NRI candidates under Management quota ; and the same shall be filled up in accordance with the procedure prescribed in the Govt. / UPTU orders . All the remaining seats in various courses offered at all the Private Institutions affiliated to U.P. Technical University , Lucknow will be filled through SEE- UPTU : 2010 counseling .
State Government has permitted 10% of total sanctioned seats available in Private Institutions to be filled on merit by All India Level candidates subject to the eligibility conditions given in this brochure through University Counseling under the reservation policy of Sate Govt. of UP.
Thus , 75 % of the seats available in Private Institutions will be filled by the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in U.P or whose parents are domicile of UP .
