Pre-placement training:
To enable the student to appreciate the importance of teamwork and to assist in understanding the nuances of corporate grooming & dressing, corporate etiquette and the ethical dilemmas present in business, soft skills and leadership training programmes are being held at HKBKCE.
Students are trained to develop the necessary skill-sets to handle interviews in the best manner possible. Industry related technical workshops are being organized to ensure better strike rate in placements.
The Infosys Campus Connect Programme focusing on technical skills was successfully implemented and currently 4 batches are being trained by the senior faculties of the college.

The HKBK College of Engineering provides two different sites for its various courses: the Business Academy and the HKBK College of Engineering are housed in its primary campus at Nagwara and the Degree College at its branch near cantonment. The campus is well-equipped with facilities that any student may require – from the cafeteria and hostel, to state-of-the-art laboratories and seminar halls. Over 2 lakh square feet of instructional space with spacious classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, Library and Information Center , and much more is accommodated at the campus. It is not for nothing that HKBK College of Engineering has acquired the reputation as one of India ‘s best-equipped colleges.

HKBK College of Engineering has been acclaimed as one of India’s best equipped institutions for technical education w.r.t. the students especially from the practical learning point of view. The HKBK College of Engineering offers the finest laboratory facilities required for today’s young engineers for learning and application of skills. The College has made its best efforts to ensure that laboratories not only adhere to the VTU standards but also match up to the world-class laboratories of pioneering research. Several laboratories are assigned to each Department at HKBK College of Engineering to meet the needs of its branch of learning.

Library & Information Center:
The Library and Information Center (LIC) at HKBK College of Engineering is an absolute mine ofinformation, offering the best in progressive as well as traditional learning resources. The LIC has been set-up with the aim to encourage independent study by providing different sources of learning that any academician might require. It is the crux of learning at HKBKGI, catering to the intellectual needs of students, faculty and researchers. The Library and Information Center is sprawled across 7,510 sq ft accommodating varied reserves of information, from hard copies to electronic sources. It includes a book bank along with reference books, periodicals, latest Engineering journals, in-house publications, examination papers and related documentation, etc. The LIC boasts of over 14,500 volumes along with a subscription to more than 35 national and 20 international technical and non-technical journals. The hard copy materials alone available at the LIC are worth more than Rs. 76.5 lakh.

HKBK College has 6 UG Departments (EEE, ECE, CSE, ISE, ME, CE) & 4 PG Department (ECE, CSE, ME, MBA) & 2 Research Centers (EEE, MBA).   All the departments are having their own class rooms for the teaching of the UG & PG classes.  Every classroom has a seating capacity of 80 students with 40 benches (2 students / bench).  A green board or a black board with computer white board & a podium exists in each and every class room.  All classrooms are fitted with tube lights & fans, some of them are air-conditioned.  A notice board is also provided in every classroom.  More than 40 well furnished classrooms exist in the institution with many of them having the facility projector & audio-video facility.

HKBK College of Engineering is home to many students from across the country. A fair percentage of the population also includes students from different countries. We welcome talented minds and provide suitable facilities for your stay.
The campus of HKBK College of Engineering houses three hostels for its students, separate for boys and girls. The hostels attempt to create a second home for its students. We provide all facilities that you might require. The rooms are spacious and well-furnished. Each room has a computer terminal with 24 hour access to the internet. The hostels have their own mess which is managed by the students and the warden. Senior faculty members also frequently supervise this facility. HKBK College of Engineering ensures that the hostels are well-managed and meet the needs of its students.

HKBK College of Engg. has got a very good canteen (both vegetarian & non-vegetarian) with a built up area of more than 5000 sq.ft. with 2 floors (Ground & first floor).  The canteen is being outsourced in order to provide good food for the staff, students & the visitors who visit the college.  A maximum of 100 people can sit at a time & have breakfast / tiffin / tea-coffee & lunch.  Separate hall is being provided for the staff to sit and have their breakfast or lunch. The canteen was established in the year 1998.  The canteen building is of 2 floors, the ground floor being a general purpose one for all the people, whereas the first floor is mainly reserved for the hostel people.  Food from the hostel is being brought in the afternoon & served here during the afternoon (lunch break) for the hostelites so that the students need not go to the hostel, as a result of which time is saved for them.

A full fledged Transport department functions in the college to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places. These college buses are regularly operated for providing transport facilities to all staff and students from different corners of Bangalore to the college and back. Free bus service is provided to the students of the hostel. Experienced drivers take care of all the driving & maintenance of all the college vehicles. This service is offered ensuring a hassle-free and safe transportation.There are two college vans which cater for examination purposes, emergency, placement activities. The buses are also used by the students for industrial visits, company visits, etc. A college car also caters for the ferrying of the Principal.

College magazine is published once in a academic year. This contains the overall information about the institute since its inception, the growth of the institute & its departments, the departments, the student toppers, labs, workforce, the cultural festival-calypso, the departmental reports, the sports activities & the photographs of the graduating students. The college magazine is released on the graduation day (normally in the month of May-June) & all the students are given this as a token of remembrance. There will be many articles written both, by the students & the staff of the engineering college. Articles come in 4 languages, viz., English, Hindi, Kannada & Urdu. The first magazine was released in the year 1991, i.e., on the first graduation day (first batch pass out). There is a separate magazine committee which is headed by a editorial board member & this committee takes care of collection of the articles till the final copy is printed. The college magazine is named as ‘QUEST’.
