Courses Offered:
Bachelors in Hotel Management :
The student learns the basics of the hotel industry in the first year like cooking methods, style of food service, formats at reception, initial cleaning and computers. It is advised that the prospect be computer literate as it will enhance the learning process.

Diploma in Hotel Management:

Food & Beverage Service Lab:
The basic techniques of the food service are inculcated in this area with all the modern amenities available here. It intends to acquaint students with the intrigues of the restaurant service and the standards.
The two training restaurants enable the student to learn various aspects of food and beverage service including table setting, order taking and serving.
Hands-on-experience is gained in food and beverage service in a practical scenario at the JPIHM.

Food Production Lab:
BASIC TRAINING KITCHEN:
This kitchen is used primarily to introduce the art of cooking to the students. It deals with basic preparation of ingredients, commodities and handling of equipments. It also helps them in preparation of the other kitchen and is a liaison between them.It acts as a base for students leading towards advanced training.

QUANTITY TRAINING KITCHEN:
It provides in depth knowledge about the commercial food setup of banquets and catering, used for bulk cooking and is a launching pad for new courses generating familiarity with the art and science of cooking as an essential part of good hospitality operations.

ADVANCE TRAINING KITCHEN:
Advance Training Kitchen (ATK) is a kitchen equipped with all modern and advanced equipments in accordance with the advancement in the latest and modern trends in the field of culinary arts. It has all sophisticated and less time consuming equipments for smooth functioning of the kitchen. The students of final year learn the latest trends and technique of modern cuisine, functioning of various equipments, their upkeep and maintenance. It is the well organized and well planned kitchen with all hot and cold equipments. In advance training kitchen all graded and specialty supporting tools are used .The students learn various skills of culinary art and science from all over the world (international cuisine). The modernization and upgradation is done as per the changing trends of the industry.
BAKERY & CONFECTIONERY
Being a baker is a lot more than just knowing how to bake bread. Bakery and confectionery as a career is both an art and science. A baker makes various kinds of loaves, bread rolls, croissants, buns, pastries, cakes and savories by adding his own innovation to his basic knowledge of baking. To be an excellent confectioner one needs develop new recipes regularly. The course will give a student the basics & teaches how to weigh out and measure ingredients; mix, divide and mould dough, set the dough to rise, bake different bread and confectionery products and how to decorate, slice and wrap the final product. Our students have got lucrative jobs both in India and abroad as chefs in the stream of bakery and confectionery.
Front Office Lab:
The Front Office is identical to a typical Front Office in a hotel. It is used to train student on how to welcome guest, ascertain their requirement, register them ,help them check in and checkout, handling of billing –related issues. The emphasis is not just on procedure but also on personalizing interaction with guests. Therefore this is a place where communication skills, rapport-building and situation-handling skills are developed. The lab has a reception, a lobby and a lounge.
Housekeeping:
The Housekeeping Lab includes a guest room and linen department. It equips students with the skills necessary for managing the linen requirements of guest, their laundry, using chemicals and other cleaning agents for maintaining the guest room in an impeccable condition and taking care of the guest’ needs.
Facilities
Library:
The well-stored library with books, periodicals and audio-visuals is an indispensable resources for the students for research and information. JPIHM has long recognized the importance of providing extensive learning support and has invested heavily in facilities and services to underpin this aspect of your development. We are continually updating and developing our library. Students can access large number of books and magazines all to keep them updated in the areas of studies and specialization.
Hostels:
There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The rooms are spacious and properly ventilated. Hostels are fitted with modern amenities like geysers and air-coolers. Each hostel has a common room with television/s and facilities for indoor games and gymnasium.
Mess:
The Campus has all the components of a residential college including two mess , one each located near girl’s and boy’s hostels. The messes are fitted with gas burners, modern pantry, automatic dish-washers and an appealing dinning-hall. The mess staff and the chefs are trained by JP Institute of Hotel Management.
Cafeteria:
Studies along with the enchanting aroma of food and beverages make a wonderful pair. We here at JP take care of all the factors affecting students, be it health, hygiene or entertainment. The cafeteria’s here provide the students with a wide variety of homely food that takes care of their taste buds as well as health.
