The institute is situated at the main National Highway NH-71 at Patiala Road with acquiring area of 10 acres in ITI campus. The institute started as a center of excellence in Textiles, running with Textile Technical branch with intake of 60 seats (guest class has started at Govt. Polytechnic, Hisar) from the season 2008-09. From the session 2010-11 one new Diploma course Textile Design has been introduced in place of Textile Processing with the intake of 120 seats in each branch.Now at the present academic session 2011-12, Five new Diploma courses have been introduced with the total intake of 540 in the institute. The detailed of Branches/Intake are given.Sanctioned Intake for the Session 2014-15.
The department of Textile Technology offers a three years course leading to diploma of the state board of technical Education, Haryana based on semester system established in 1995 under world bank project. The department is equipped with spinning lab, weaving lab, knitting lab and textile testing lab.
Spinning lab consists of sliver-lapper, Comber and Ring-Frame machine.
Weaving lab. consists of sectional warping machine, Pirn winding machine, handlooms and various power looms. Knitting lab is equipped with flat bed and circular knitting machines. Also there is adequate facilities for testing of fibers, Yarn and fabric in textile testing lab.
The department of Textile Design offers a three year course leading to diploma of the State Board of Technical Education, Haryana based on semester system established in 1995 under World Bank Project. The department is well equipped with Weaving Lab., Printing Lab., Knitting Lab., Garment Design Lab. and Textile Testing Lab. Keeping in view the future trends in Textiles, Textile Design course attracts many opportunities in fields of Computer Aided Textile Design & Fashion Technology.
To achieve this end the department of Textile Design has introduced courses in AUTO CAD and Textile Related Specialized Software. After completing these courses the students acquires the skills & knowledge to be absorbed in computerized Textile Design department, Fashion industry (Garment Export House) or production department in Weaving, Printing & Knitting.
Civil Engineering is the evergreen branch of engineering with unlimited opportunities in the public and private sectors.
The infra structural growth coupled with the requirement of housing and commercial establishment had made this branch a very attractive career choice of today. The Department of Civil Engineering consists of the following laboratories with adequate equipments.
Electrical engineering diploma for three years that serve and needs for the public or private sectors for trained electrical engineers. The academic skills of the students with main focus on subjects like Electrical & Electronics Engg. Materials, Electrical Engg. Design & Drawing, Electrical Machines, Electrical Measurement & Measuring Instruments, Electronics Devices & Circuits, Transmission & Distribution of Electrical Power, Utilization of Electrical Energy, Installation & Maintenance of Electrical Equipment, Electrical Workshop and Project Work .
Mechanical Engg. Department has fully equipped thermal Engg., Refrigeration & air conditioning, Material & Metallurgy, Metrology, Material testing Labs. The department has a good Workshop section including machinery, tools like Lathe, Milling machines, Welding shop, Carpentry shop, CNC Lab having vertical milling, CNC Lathe, EDM and Co-ordinate measuring machine.
The Deptt. of Computer Engineering offers Three Years Diploma Course in Computer Engg. . This Department also conducts nos. of short-terms computer courses to generate the revenue. Department has fully equipped eight computer laboratories with 90 nos. high configuration computer systems, laser printers, color printer, Internet facility.
